I am a LLE (lived and living experience) researcher and advocate in the field of Autism, co-occurring conditions, mental health and inclusive practice. My research and advocacy efforts have contributed to the development of the health workforce and public health policy such as the National Autism Strategy.
Prior to positive behaviour support I was a peer mental health practitioner, specialising in the area of child and parent mental health working with neurodivergent families and I have a natural strength and passion for supporting non-speaking participants.
I have training and experience in: Trauma-informed practice; Child and parent attachment and reunification; Cultural inclusion; LGBTQI+ and Gender-affirming practice; Identifying and supporting psychosis and schizophrenia; Mental health crisis response; Family and domestic violence response; AOD response; Neurodevelopmental care; and I am currently undertaking a diploma of psychotherapy.
