I have worked in the industry for 32 years, starting off as a Direct Support Worker and very quickly discovered a passion for serving individuals with more complex behaviours than most.
Throughout my career I have played a significant roles in supporting individuals along with their families and teams in recognising all behaviours are meaningful and serve a purpose in communicating.
The support that I have been part of is known to have assisted many complex participants with building trust, developing positive ways of communicating and achieving their goals.
In my ‘spare time’, I am a loving (albeit busy) mother of 4 adult children and 6 young grandchildren.
My most precious joy is being in the kitchen, preparing copious amounts of food, my values and beliefs lived out not only at work but in my heart… bringing people together, healthy relationships at the focus… and full bellies!
