I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and Behaviour Support Practitioner. I have a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada.
I have extensive experience working in schools, clinics and home programs for those with developmental disabilities. I have created behaviour plans and helped to design supportive programs for students with special needs from early school-age into universities. My clients have ranged in age from two years into adulthood and I have worked with them for over 15 years.
I believe in addressing my clients’ goals and needs using an individualised compassionate approach. In my experience working closely with families, I have supported parents and the clients I work with, helping them to cope with anxiety and trauma. I have a great passion for teaching and supporting my clients’ mental, physical and emotional health while focusing on what my clients advocate as most important to them.
My specialist areas involve supporting those with severe challenging behaviours, and those with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. I believe that creating safe spaces for coping and building relationships are the most important parts of learning.
